Dear Parents,
The children in Room A2 are working together very well. As we continue our study of the fall, students have been learning more about the season. Here are some highlights of our recent apple activities:
We did estimation with apples.
We grouped apples by color and compared the groups.
Students made an apple graph of their favorite color of apple.
We found the star of seeds inside of an apple and we learned about how apples grow.
We made apple trees by printing with real apples.
We made apple prints using an ABAB pattern.
We read many books about apples.
The children learned many songs and fingerplays about apples. Ask your child to recite “Way Up In The Apple Tree.” It teaches counting and subtraction skills.
