Dear Parents,

trick-or-treat
On Friday, October 28th, our class will have a candy and costume party for Halloween.  Students can come dressed in character, but violent costumes and weapons are not allowed.  Miss Ramos’ class will join us for a Halloween parade around the school and then we will have a small party. If you would like to send something to contribute to the party, 1-2 bags of wrapped candy would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Black

Dear Parents,

The children in Room A2 are working together very well. As we continue our study of the fall, students have been learning more about the season. Here are some highlights of our recent apple activities:

  • Apple Bullet We did estimation with apples.
  • Apple Bullet We grouped apples by color and compared the groups.
  • Apple Bullet Students made an apple graph of their favorite color of apple.
  • Apple Bullet We found the star of seeds inside of an apple and we learned about how apples grow.
  • Apple Bullet We made apple trees by printing with real apples.
  • Apple Bullet We made apple prints using an ABAB pattern.
  • Apple Bullet We read many books about apples.
  • Apple Bullet The children learned many songs and fingerplays about apples.  Ask your child to recite “Way Up In The Apple Tree.” It teaches counting and subtraction skills.
